About Me

I have been interested in photography since a young age.  My first camera was a 110 film camera and I was very excited to have a camera!  I am sure my parents were not as excited as it seems I was always needing to get a roll of film developed.

In High School I purchased my first digital camera, a Sony FD Mavica, (yes, that was the one with the 3.5" floppy disk for storage).  I took a TON of pictures with that camera.  It was a great starter camera for me, and it took pretty decent shots for  being a 1.3mp.

In 2011, I stepped up to a entry level DSLR, the Canon Rebel T3.  I learned a lot about photography since purchasing that camera.  I have since upgraded several times first to the Canon Rebel T4i, then to the Canon 5D Mark II, and now to the Sony A7RIII  This newest addition will expand the dynamic range to some new and exciting dimensions- especially astrophotography and low light work!.

I enjoy learning all I can and continue to challenge myself to improve as a photographer.  My goals include becoming a more proficient portrait photographer.  I look forward to working with people of various backgrounds and who have a variety of ideas as to what they want to see in their finished photos.  I also look forward to becoming more efficient at adapting to a variety of shooting circumstances like lighting, backgrounds, subjects etc.
